Rheumatoid Arthritis Question

What they know is that autoimune diseases run in families. So if grandfather had RA others in the family are more likelly to get any of the autoimmune diseases.
In my family my uncle had MS. I have RA. My ikder sister has Fibro, My mother and her sisters all have an odd autoimmune skin disorder, my younger sister has psoriasis. No one else has RA.

i believe it is in families, but not limited to that. both my mom and i have RA. i was diagnosed first as mom never let docs know all her pain til i was diagnosed then she thought maybe she should look into it. years of not treating her pain has resulted in noted joint damage. we also think her mom had it and never was treated. her moms hands looked like ours and i recall her complaining once in a while about them hurting real bad. in my family we dont really talk about pain, for some reason it is looked at as weakness? idk why? also both my daughters also have joint pains when they participate in a lot of sports. i worry about them. i pray they dont have to ever deal with the chronic pain. hope my story helps? goodluck~*yally
