OK what gives?

I tought Prednisone would take my pain away. I was good yesterday, and this morning. Now sitting here at work i cannot sit still my legs are BURNING so bad and ACHING so bad I could just scream! Is this normal??????

One more thing, My hands and feet are like ICE. Is this the RA or the medication????

I'm getting freaked out. I think I will call. This stuff works on the joints greatly, but it scares the crap out of me, at least from what I have read about it. I have been googling everyhting there is to do with it...

I wonder if i is the meds then... I left a message w/ mt rheumy... waiting to hear back. I was so excited. I was cleaning my bathroom and found a few generic MS Contin ER's I had gotten them a long time ago when I lived in MO (they were SO much more empathetic to pain there. I want to go back :-(...) Anyway I took one last night and realized they are expired, but it still worked and I was so happy today... I cleaned my house, took the kids to the park, FOLDED MY LAUNDRY (big issue) It was wonderful. I am starting to feel it (all the working) now though/// but it was worth it. I was just so happy I could DO it! I forgot about those pills completely I am going to ask for a script of them. 2 pills ever 24 hours versus 8? Uh yeah, sign me up there boss

First week on prednisone I went bowling with my nephew. I paid for it big time. When on pred you almost have to pretend that you still feel as sick as you did without it in order to prevent overdoing it at least until your maintence drugs start to kick in.

My husband was recently prescribed some prednisone for an infection and he hated taking them  it was only 10 or 20 mg, and I told him that was nothing, and he thought I was nuts! He ended up giving them to me and I still have them because they do give you that false sense that you can do whatever you want and get away with it.  Right now I can finally get on the treadmill.. walking..I bet if I took a few preds, I could run it like in the old days!   I take this weight training class in the mornings and there is this lady who comes in and she HAS to be in her late 50's and she rides the excercise bike of all things.  I'm on the treadmill at 37 years old and there she is just riding along, my knees would look like balloons the next day if I hopped on that thing *sigh*. I'm limping after my measly mile and she is looking at me like I'm a wimp

I had to laugh at the cardiac patients! Sheesh, there are days when getting up the stairs, I feel as if I'm 70, and I wonder what I will feel like when I'm ACTUALLY 70 probably all hunched over and with a walker..there have been times my kiddo's have helped me up the stairs! Here mom..let me help you..

Not yet, but I DID get a call back from my PM doc, what a guy, and i say that with the upmost sarcasm. Since I cannot afford the epidural injections, he is washing his hands of me so to speak. He says there is nothing he can do for me...

I see my Rheumy on the 1st so 6 more days to go (I am really bad at counting down to everything) I am really anxious to see what she says... this has been the longest 2 weeks of my life
