Hi! I'm back. Sorry I have been gone.

The thighs and calves of my legs hurt so bad. I am on vicidon right now and it eases the pain in my back and legs but not completly. the only time it doesn't hurt is when I am sitting down or laying down. Does anyone else have this problem? Sometimes like now my thighs just quiver and then stop if I move them.

I have degentrive arth,spinal stenosis, buldging disks,and spurs in L4,5,6. I use a cane and sometimes my walker. The spine Dr. said he couldn't do surgery and sent me to a pain management Dr. My family Dr. is taking care of it now.

Hi Sherry Beth,

I have psoriatic arthritis but also have peripheal artery disease (blockages in the arteries of my legs).   I have similar symptoms to yours.  Since starting on Humira for the arthritis I have a lot less pain in my legs, however I still get that quivering sometimes and also get numbness in my toes.   Don't know if it's the arthritis or the blockages.

are you on medication for the arthritis?   Do you have any other medical problems that you are aware of?  Might not hurt to have a doppler done on your legs, painless and will tell if there's any vascular problems going on.

Thanks for answering. Yes, I just had the doppler done on my legs and everything is good.I have atrial fib,symptons of cardric arrest and cronhs also. 

 Am taking medsl for them also. Taking Neuroton also. As you can see I don't spell to good.HA

Dear Sherry Beth,

glad that they ruled out any blockages in your legs.  Sounds like all your disk problems must be pushing on some nerves.   My Dad had a lot of disk problems in his back and neck and he was also told they couldn't do surgey on his neck again.  I used to buy him heat packs and anything new I could find to help with the pain.   He also had a lot of heart problems. 

I did take him for acupuncture for awhile.  I believed it was helping somewhat but he got impatient and stopped going.  Have you ever tried that?   A lot of people say it really does work.

I hope you find something that will ease your pain.  No one should have to suffer that much.

when i was 13 i started having leg pains i complian all the time my mom just said it was growing pains i knew she was wrong because i had very bad leg pains then a dr said i had arthritis son it subsided until i was about 21 it came back with a vengence i was very tired i had to use a cane to walk this last about 6 yrs the subsided now i am having problems that started 3 yrs ago with my spine shoulder and neck i had been working full time i am raising 2 children 7 and 3 at times i would feel whats the point of being here if i am in so much pain all the time then i look at the faces that need me and thats what keeps me going i am 45 now and have a new symtom my hands they are very painfull and are changhing shape my nuckles seem ti be getting bigger? i just recently got laid off work which is a good thing because i felt like a 10 lb weight was taken off my chest it was so hard going to work everyday than you for allowing me to vent

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you are hurting so much..I also have aching in my lower legs and in my arms between my shoulder and my elbow. The ache can become pretty bad at times and almost stops me in my tracks at times. Have you had your calcium levels checked?? Sometimes bone pain can be caused by low levels of calcium, at least this is the case for me.

I hope you get some answers very soon.
