Koi -- for me, freshly baked french or some sort of fabulous bread is my "unhealthy" food of choice. I could eat a loaf of it right now, no problem! Lovely suggestion and it made me chuckle...thanks!
Golitho -- I've been on all sorts of drugs over the years. The damage is done as I wasn't diagnosed until my 40's (almost 6 years ago and I have had the AS since my 20's, RA since my 30's). Enbrel worked well for awhile, then we added the MTX to help things along. When it was thought I had Crohn's (I don't), we switched to Remicade. That was the best thing ever until I had an unexpected but thoroughly awful allergic reaction. I then moved to Humira which did nothing. I went back to Enbrel but unfortunately lost my job and benefits. While I did get another job and insurance, my rheumy was quite ill for quite a few months - Friday was the first time I had seen him since last July. No, he didn't refer his patients to anyone else -- he's the "big" cheese of the department.
I guess I'm just tired of the experimenting. Like everyone else I want relief -- now. I'm tired of needles, blood tests and all that goes with it. I'm not stubborn enough to say no, so we're going back to Enbrel. We'll see how it goes.
I see him in 8 weeks.
There you have it...my reasons for whining
