Hi Lady,
I'm so sorry to hear your frustration, and it is frustrating when something isn't covered!!!! Gosh, don't worry about the ranting, that's why healing well is here, remember? You're going through a very difficult time right now, and I know what you mean by what insurance companies will pay for and what they won't. I went to the hospital earlier this week for a CT scan and the insurance "coordinator" is sitting with me to discuss my portion of payment, and says that the insurance company will be paying almost $4000 for my procedure, but by golly she wanted to make sure I was going to pay my $450, I explained that I didn't have all of the $450, since I had just been there the week before, and she became a bit nasty, so I paid what I could, but sheesh! What do they say to people who don't have insurance?? It is all about the cost and not the patient.
You did apply for disability correct? I'm sorry if you posted that somewhere else, but how is that going?? You will get back pay for the months that are owed to you when you do finally get your award. We have a friend who has become disabled and he was awarded all the months prior that he qaulified for after becoming disabled.
Please hang in there, prayers and positive thought are being sent your way.
