Oh Aaron, I so know what you mean about
the cane, I too have one but only within the last month or so. My boys (well men now) take the micky out of me all the time, but in a good way. The lastest name is "Peggy Leggings" instead of peggy baggins (long story but a nick name they gave me years ago). On Australia day we (the whole family and other halfs) meet up in the city and hubby and I treated them to a day/dinner out in the city. We arranged for a water taxi ride from Park Hyatt around to Darling Harbour and when it came to getting on, a couple of people where waiting to join the taxi, my boys looked around and said in front of everyone 'after the cripple first!'. Well the looks they all gave us, I laughed as I always do, they don't mean it badly and their the only ones that are allowed to get away with it. In fact an elderly lady said to my son 'that's what my grandson calls me'. lol. I had such a hard time to getting my head around to using one, the family have helped by making it funny and not too serious. Bless them!
Jax, sounds like your in a rough patch at the moment, strange how we go through the ups and downs, thank god we can come on here and rant and rave, moan and groan to each other. 4 hours sleep sounds like a dream, I'm still up and down in the night, still feel flu like symptons in the night (but not the day) strange
I'm with you with regards concern for Jo, I've had a time where I was in so much pain in my left breast I couldn't take my bra off at all (even showered in it). Had a scan, X-rays and ended up seeing specialist, thankfully not a major problem, but still a difficult time and so painful for a about 6weeks.
Simponi - could you refresh my memory or have we not talked about that, sounds interesting and obviously something you think I should know about. My remicade didn't work this time, very disappointed but have to wait and see if it's because I'm not on Mxth? Can't wait for the appointment to see my specialist for some update, like you so over the whole thing, but trying hard to focus on other things to take my mind off it.
By the way just under 3kg lost in two weeks, so that's something to be happy about
Just booked a 4 night romantic break on Hamilton Island to get away for some relaxation and quite time with hubby after my appointment with specialist and before the renovations/operation starts.
Have a great weekend, be kind to yourselves.
Peggy
Well must away,
