It has been two weeks since my doctor has submitted a claim to get me approved for humira. I still have not heard anything. How long does this take? What takes so long in deciding? Any info would be appriciated

Have you called your insurance company and asked if there is a problem? Or have you called the person in charge of insurance authorizations at your doctor's office and asked if there is a problem? My insurance company can take 5-10 days to apporve authorization requests for treatments, MRIs, specialty medications, etc unless my doctor puts the request in as urgent.

Hi,

I'm not sure where your from but in Australia once applied for from the specialist I had my scripts in my hand within 2 weeks. It course could be a completely different thing in other countries.
