Hello ,
I have had RA from 3 yrs. I tried methotrexate for 1 yrs and was in a very bad shape as all my joints were swollen. My doc put me on Humira and Arava and for 1 yr. I was fine but the winter and snow always causes activity and now I have severe swelling. She asked me to take Neoral with Humira as I asked her for some medicine that does not cause hairfall as I lost almost half of my hair with methotrexate /arava. Has anyone taken Neoral?. Also, my left knee joint has no fluid remaining as per MRI due to which it hurts a lot and I have difficult sitting down with folded knee. Did anyone take any medicine for the fluid? Does anyone know the cure? Also my left foot toe fingers have crippled due to swelling and now the tendons are deformed. Any treatment suggestion?. All of this happened in a year and now I am trying to understand the best medicine to cure the RA. I am thinking of trying either Enbrel or Humira with Methotrexate to give me some relief as just Humira is not working for me.
Thanks in advance for the reply

Thanks for the details of Neoral. Has anyone of seen tremendous hairfall with methotrexate?Any possibility of reducing it while on medicine?Has the combination Enbrel+Methotrexate worked better or Enbrel+methotrexate?
Thanks

I had hair loss initially. In the shower my fingers would just be entwined with hair while I shampooed. I starting taking 5000mcg's of biotin daily and it stopped. Not only that but my always limp, fine hair is full and has lots of body. My nails are nice and strong too.

this before. Are these medicines ok on long term and did the hairfall stop immediately or it took few months as I always go on methotrexate for 3 months and stop after I see a lump like a tennis ball falling everytime i take shower

Biotin is a supplement and my dr. is ok with it. The hair loss stopped within a month I think. It's been over 2 years ago so I can't really remember.
