Pluerisy and RA connection??

I have yet another sinus infection -my third since being on humira. This one combined with the recent heat wave- brought me to Doctor for a breathing treatment for my asthma. I have had asthma for 5-6 years. My chest never hurt as much as it did yesterday. it was different kind of pain. The doctor said I have Pluerisy (? spelling) It is an inflamation of the lining of the lung. She asked me when do I see my RA doc next,,,
I said next week,. She said I should mention the pleurisy to her. Does anyone know if there is a connection with RA and Pluerisy? She put me on antibiotics and good old prednisone..
So the prednisone will help my asthma, my pluerisy and of course my RA..

I am currently only on Humira It seems to have given me the most relief of all meds so far. I still have pain but the swelling is visably MUCH less. I am due for a shot today but now with infection and antibiotic I can not take shot....but even after just 2 days of prednisone I feel some noticable relief Man why can't prednisone be safe/long term. Last time I was on it a long time and had eye problems. AARRGHGH@@

wow this sounds scary... guess I will have alot to dicuss/discover on friday's appt w/ my Rheumy.

Thanks, I am feelign better.. Prednisone is doing its job. I actually feel real good with RA pain minimal.. I had a long busy day of accomplishment today becuase I was not so stiff /sore/ or swollen..I was able to get thiNGS done been puttign off Hurrah..

I have not had to take any pain meds since being on the Pred. No ice packs at the end of the day.

I wish we could stay on it forever, its all that has really worked for me. but last time I had to come off it becuasse my eye pressure was elevated due to the longtern use.

Oh well, enjoy it while it last
