This kind of goes with my other post. So my Rhuemy called to say liver function test were ok to start methotrexate. I haven't picked it up yet but he said I could choose which day is best for me to take it sooooo:
I would like your thoughts based on your experiences and my schedule. There are no right or wrong answers just need your opinions.
1. I have 5 kids. My oldest is 18 but in college and works full time. The second oldest is 16/3rd is 13. My husband is gone during the week for a majority of time that the kids and I are home. So school events, sports, homework is all me. Same as cooking dinner, etc. My kids all have set chores like dishes, trash, cleaning living room, cleaning bathroom counters and kitchen table. I go around and detail along with sweeping and mopping floors, daily, laundry, etc.
2. I work from 5:30-well home by 3:00 on a good day. I am a food service manager of a middle school cafeteria. That entails at least 3 hours of paperwork for the state and my supervisor daily along with stock, and running registers, pans and dishes, decisions, helpin ensure the food is ready(usually means lots of cooking for me), I deal with afterschool programs and have bi-weekly meetings that mean I am not home until 5:00pm.
3. So the weekend is all I have to spend with my husband. He works nights and 2-3 x's a month has to work Saturdays. My kids all play baseball and softball(which for any fans out there you know that is coming up) They have games mid-week along with practice and always have saturday games. Not always at the same park. I like to be involved with that as well.
So now knowing what I know about my life, What day do you think I should start the methotrexate? I can't see a good day so far. I'm sure no day is a good day but I don't know which one. Especially if I end up being one that gets sick. I have sick days at work(lots of them) but my schedule there is so busy and they don't send sub managers in anymore it's near impossible to take off. I was thinking Saturday night. Then I would have time to spend with hubby and be able to do what i have to with kids but will that be enough time to re-coop? Any advice, opinions, whatever would be great, Thanks. Heather
