Hi all,
I will be going out of town for business Saturday, to return the next Friday. I cannot fly with my meds, so my husband and I will be driving to St. Louis, MO and I will fly back home. We are leaving Saturday and providing ourselves enough time to allow for frequent breaks. I will inject Humira on Thursday night, finish with the conference on Friday and fly home. I am flying back for two reasons, 1) to avoid the issues that a long trip will cause my body 2)there is no reason for my husband to remain in St. Louis past Wednesday night, as the conference will have me so tied up Thursday and Friday that I wont even see him. He will drive home and pick up our pups from the sitter and pick me up at the airport. This is a 12 hour drive. I am fully aware of how this could turn out. I am hoping that this extremely supportive and information community of fellow sufferers can help me with any and all tips that may be beneficial to ease the stress and pain from this trip. I dont know anyone my age with a chronic illness of any sort, much less one similar to mine. I am 28. Please provide me with tips to help myself. Anything that may have worked at one time or another to ease the strain of a necessary trip?
I am planning to bring epsom salt in a ziplock so I can take a really hot bath once I get there. My husband thinks that a massage upon arrival may be in order. This is all I have in my toolkit.
Thank yall so much. I really cant express how this community helps me. I dont feel as lonely anymore and I have a place to go to get advice and hear similar stories. This ailment has gotten easier emotionally since finding this website.
