Stopping MTX and starting Humira every week.

I recently stopped taking MTX too, which I was happy about because I was on Plaquinel, Humira, and MTX along with prescriptions for other things and am always happy to whittle it down to less. I still take Humira every other week though, I haven't heard of taking it weekly- did they cut the dose in half or is it the same dose?

In terms of the auto injector vs. the syringe... I think syringes are better. I used to use those when I took enbrel and you are really in control of what is going on, which means you know exactly what to expect, plus for me it hurt a lot less than the pens. I don't know if this happens to you but when I use the pen it smarts painfully and sometimes bruises. Once I took it and it hurt so bad I reflexively pulled the pen out early, wasting a lot of the humira and causing a lot of stress trying to figure out what I needed to do to fix it (though we called Humira and they overnighted me one for free, their customer service was awesome). I do understand it being intimidating though, I oftentimes worried if I messed a shot up with a syringe but pens are pretty straightforward.
