Hi Everyone,

So I have like little nodules (lumps or bumps) on some of my fingers under my skin. And then I have them on the other side of my hand (palm side) on my fingers.....I just noticed that yesterday.  Does anyone else have these? I go see my Rheumy tomorrow, so I am going to ask him about it. Should I be worried about it? They don't hurt when I touch them or anything. Please let me know what you think.

First of all, your RA doctor will look over all your joints and then if he/she doesn't bring it up then you can. Also drink plenty of water as the doctor will ask that you to go and get bloodwork done...Also make a list of your concerns and take it with you to your doctors appointment as it's always hard to remember things at a doctor office especially when your nervous, so make that list up to have it handy....
and Try not to worry until you get a diagnosis, then you'll be able to talk over medications...

The nodules on my fingers...have been there since the last time I saw him..3 months ago...he didn't say anything...I don't know if he didn't notice it or what. But I think I am going to ask him about it. cause now they are on the other side..(palm side). But I will keep everyone updated!

For me I can' t feel the noudles, but a hand mri showed I have 3 on my right hand, I did ask my doctor where and I pointed to the painful fingers and he just said yes to where I pointed. Your doctor probably felt them if you could. I know where I hurt but can't feel the nodules...as I' m usually just so swollen. I have inflammatory arthritis as well as some osteo, along with other things that totall makes ones day ( being rude, sorry,)...I will be looking for your postings tomorrow, hope its a good doctor visit for you....

Hello!

So went and saw my rheumy this morning. We talked about my nodules on my fingers and said not worry about them right now.. since they are small and they don't bother me. He said we will worry about them when they bother me or get bigger. I just have to watch them.

talked about Enbrel for a little bit. But since I have Lupus he said it could flare that up...so we are not going to do that. I am still on all my same meds. and I will be seeing him in 3 months again.

So over all it was a good appt.

Great news. I like the fact your rheumy said not to worry. Seems to be their happy refrain!
But its good advice. If it doesn't hurt don't worry about it.
My rheumy thought I had nodules but when they were ultrasounded it turned out they were swollen tendons. So you never know exactly what goes on with this conditon.

Thanks golitho! Yeah I was glad to hear him say not to worry
about it. Hopefully they stay small. I'll keep everyone posted
