Tramadol Patches?

Is there such a thing as a tramadol patch, or is there some pain patch that isn't a heavy duty narcotic anyone could recommend for the pain of RA?

The only pain patch I know of is fentenol (sp?)

Thanks, all. I am going to ask about it. I take so many pills, and Tramadol does not hurt my stomach, but would be nice to cut out six pills a day from my regimen, ya know, and still have pain relief.

Hello Vannie, i know it's sometime since you last posted but i wondered how you got on with Tramadol patches and if you managed to try them.

I take tramadol daily and find if i have to increase my dose through getting break through pain i get a few side affects ie feel light headed and itching.

I too had been thinking about trying patches mainly to see if i get better pain relief but also to eleviate the side effects, i'd love to hear how you've got on.

I like tramadol and take it occassionally.
I also use Salonpass patches-they are otc and more for mild to moderate muscle pain but since I get that when my joints are flaring I keep them handy for spot relief.

i also reaalize you posted this a while ago But how did you get on with the patches?

i was on Norspan patches they worked well for a while then i got bad rash/sores

i would like to try another patch but don't know whats around and also perhaps stronger as the Tramadol i take daily dosn't seem to be enough on its own i always have to top it up with endone

I didn't try the patches, because someone told me they were more expensive and didn't work as well as the pills. BadDay, my best friend has RA and has a lot of pain. She started using a Butrans patch and told me it has changed her life. She still has breakthrough pain during flares and takes something else for that, but the Butrans patch has helped her a lot! You might ask about that one.

Thanks Vannie But Dam it i just googled the patches and they are "Norspan" that is the patch i used and yes they were great but after a short while i got bad rash/sores at the stick site. Thank You so much for the recomendation

Well, doggone it! Maybe you can ask if there is something similar in pill form? I know we all get sick of pills. Or perhaps another type of patch?

Hi, there is a new Tramadol patches containing only energy of Tramadol without active chemical substances.
Whitout side effects. The name is `Harmonizing Energy` patch.
