Enbrel and Plaquenil

no but i was going to ask my doctor about that exact combination. I am just on sulfasalazine. i have an interesting but stupid case. I have the HLA B 27 gene and spinal arthritis so i have the Ankylosing Spondylitis but i also have a positive ANA as well as borderline pos RA factor and a high WBC count. because the ANA is negative in ppl with AS i was given the diagnosis of two auto immune diseases. im being tested for lupus now even though i think its something else beside lupus.. i was concerened cuz i dont think that enbrel is good with lupus if the doctor is right but the tnf blockers are the ONLY thing to help spinal arthritis. so right now its just the sulfa drug but i might change it soon. let me know if that combo helps you. i have the arthritis in my shoulders and hips pretty bad but all my other joints its severe enthesitis or tendonitis. my elbow is swollen but its the tendons and ligaments versus the synovium.

I have had no luck with prednisone but that was the only thing i was prescribed initially. :( hope the combo works for you. also id get the test for lymes if you dont think any of the meds are helping. alot of times lymes causes arthritis. if its not that then try to change your diet to less carbs and see if that helps. good luck
