How many kinds of RA are out there?

Yes I have RA was never told my numbers only that I'm high. My RA hit's every joint I never knew was a joint!! I get inflamed all the time everywhere. I read some have it in hands only or other place. So I guess I need to ask RA doctor what kind (is there a name) for my RA. I started she said years ago but never knew it until last summer when I was in huge flare up with swelling and black and blues. I felt like I was hit by a truck. But before that flare up had problems with knees locking up only,now it's everywhere.I get corione (spelling) in my hips,shoulders where my doctor said "you didn't even feel that? "you didn't even make a sound" No I didn't that's how bad it gets. Excuse my spelling I had two brain annie's /two brain surgeries that almost killed me 11 years ago. Took my spelling,math,short term menory away...

You probably mean types of RA? There is mild RA where as you mentioned, doesn't bother a Person too much and only in a few joints. My Friend in New York has that one. There is moderate RA and severe RA. I think severe and aggressive RA, are the same type. A lot of us have that one.

write this question down and take it with you to your doctor's office, I think what you mean is that if your doctor is going by a number than it's probably the severity of your RA. Then there are types of RA such as inflammatory, sero negative, seropositive, psoriatic, ect...but in general the number is usually how sever it is. Seropositive is the more common type of RA...
