Orencia

Once again my Humira has stopped working and the Dr. suggested I try Orencia infusions. Lots of scary possible side effects and I have had reactions to every other thing except the Humira so I am very nervous. Just wondered if anyone has tried the Orencia and could share your experience with it.

Hi Alicat,

I take Orencia but not the infusion, the weekly injection. I have been on it for about 2 years now in addition to methotrexate and it has helped but Im still showing high sed rates and mild diease activity according to the new test she gave me last time I was in.

It has been fine for me with no noticeable side effects besides feeling tired the day after my injections.

I am about to start Rituxin infusions later this month and I sure hope they work better.

I hope that you fond relief with it, I was on Enbrel for 12 years and it worked REALLY well so you just never know, you may find much relief with a med change, I hope that you do!

I have not had Orencia but that just doesn't sound right. If it continues, you should give your doc a ring.
@ Alicat...I hope the Orencia works for you! Have you tried Enbril? That's what I went to when Humira stopped working. The humira worked so well for me, that I wad thinking about asking to go back on it to see if taking a break gives the body a chance to resensitize. Is that what you did?
