Hello All,
Just looking for a bit of guidance as no one can seem to give me answers...
about a 10 months ago, I randomly started shaking one day - Bilateral tremors in my hands and legs. I freaked out and went to a neurologist who did a full CBC work up, a Lyme test, and an MRI of the brain. All came back perfect. about a month after that, I started having pain in my hands which then slowly spread throughout my body down to my feet however no swelling, redness, or heat anywhere. I also have thoracic back pain that radiates into my lower rib on the left side. I've never felt very sick or even had to stop my daily activities - I just felt and continue to feel off and like something just is not right. I went to a rheumatologist who performed a battery of autoimmune tests - My ANA came back at 1:160 but all other antibody tests were completely negative including the rheumatoid factor. He recently ran the tests again everything is still negative and normal. My ESR is only 6 and my CRP is <.01. I don't have a fever or flu-like symptoms but my hands continue to be very sore (especially in the morning) and I have shooting pains down my arms. I also have tremors that come and go depending on the day. I do have a herniated disc in my neck so maybe it's from that - Who knows.
Recently, I've started having tightness in my chest and intermittent sore throat. I've had a chest xray and have had my lungs listened to multiple times and all is normal. An ENT did an endoscopy down my throat and into my larynx and he said there is significant inflammation around my voicebox and looks like typical acid irritation from reflux. Does RA manifest this way?
My rheumatologist says it could be very early RA and is continuing to monitor me every 3 months but at this point is leaning more towards fibromyalgia since I have also had some odd skin sensations and have confirmed tender points and all my tests (apart from the ANA) continue to come back normal.
If anyone can provide some insight I would really appreciate it as I'm constantly stressed and worried about what is going on in my body.
