Enbrel, dyspepsia

Hi enbrel buddies.  Has enbrel been known to cause dyspepsia?  I have acid reflux problems already, but I've noticed lately that even with 40mg of aciphex and 300 mg of zantac, my stomach is getting really bad again.  Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this with enbrel?

I take Prevacid already and have been diagnosed with GERD. I have not noticed an increase in my symptoms, but I've only had 2 doses of Enbrel so far. I will keep an eye on it though.

look at what I found

 

"...The most common adverse reactions associated with etanercept are injection site reactions, infection, headache, rhinitis, cough, asthenia, abdominal pain, rash, respiratory disorder, and dyspepsia..."

 

I have noticed that I have been having more problems with that lately too, since I have GERD, but never made the connection... hhhhmmm....

 

Do you have a hiatal hernia?  I do, and I was chalking it up to that, but now, I think it may be the Enbrel... everyday it's something else isn't it? 

 

Now the question is, where do we go from here?  Guess I'll have a bunch to talk to my rheumy about next month! scool

I went out and bought a huge bottle of tums.  I'm good to go now.  I don't have a hiatal hernia, but a hypomotility disorder.  It could be the enbrel, or it could just be my stomach.  I have a GI appt. next week and I'll ask her about it.
