Well Kiddo , what a pleasant surprise this moaning....BUT it breaks me ole heart to see how many medicines you/y'all take!!! I have been down a very crazy road with heart disease medications. Beta blockers come with fatigue, raise your blood glucose and prevent you from exercising sometimes, malaise and depression. ACE inhibitors cause edema and after taking them for three years, I suddenly developed the notorious cough and upper respiratory/throat problems. That really blew my mind (which would only take a tiny firecracker).
Statistics show that heart attack survivors live longer if they take ACE inhibitors. Well, they whipped up a new class of meds that do the same as ACE inhibitors called ARBs (Angiotension Receptor Blockers), but in a different way. I am trying to take an ARB called Diovan at this time. It sounds like a singer or something, lol. I am having the same side affects as with the ACE, except not nearly as severe.
Something is changing in my ole bod. I had bad reactions to both drugs in 2 types of medicinally coated stents I have. One is for cancer, Paclitaxel (Taxus stents, gots 2 of them). The other coated drug is Sirolimus (Cypher, gots 2 of them). Gee, once they put these into you, that's it. You can't take them out....The Einstein ID doc told me that I was having a reaction to Paclitaxal. Said it wasn't uncommon. The meds go away after about a year. They prevent scar tissue and clots from forming.
I am really boring myself here, ha ha ha. I think that I am snoring....I could go on about a few more medicines, like statins. I have hypercholesterolemia, an inherited disorder. about 7 years ago, the doc called me and said in 19 years of practicing medicine, he had never seen anyone with such high numbers. My total C was 487, triglycerides were 2008. He started aggressive statin treatment that almost kilt me.....I can't take any kind of drug to lower my lipids. So, I have tried all the supplements. I am the best customer of S*wanson's vitamins, online shopping.
I will check out the supplement you mentioned....It sounds toxic...Ha ha ha. Your Boss is trying to knock you off! When ya get time, go to that site and get the "Liver Essentials". BTW I hope all of you take your vitamins, and I mean mega doses of the non-toxic types. Stuff like zinc, magnesium, selenium, coq-10, B-12, folic acid, B complex, fish oil (w/o the mercury), vitamin C, careful with potassium, calcium. Some of these are toxic at high doses like potassium and magnesium. More might be...
Use olive oil only for fried foods. Stay away from the fast foods. Eat a Mediterranean type diet. Keep the cheap carbs down. No tater chips...Fresh fruits, vegetables fish and chicken. A steak ever now and then. Raw ALMONDS are great for you.
I know that y'all know this stuff. BUT you are just 25! If you guys eat right, and take your supplements, it will help fight any disease. You know, it cost a lot to really eat right. So we get a lot of processed food at the grocery store. Good orange juice cost around 3 bucks for 1/2 gallon. We try to keep our grocery bill down but we shouldn't. Look at the movie stars! Some are 50 and look 35....They have chefs that cook only the best food!
I really feel for you guys . The medicines you take are so much more dangerous than the ones I take. 35 pills!!!!!!! That's the problem with RA, Lupus and other autoimmune diseases, is there are no good medicines without harmful side affects, or it seems that way to me.
Well Erin, the ole man is through preaching.....lol. Love and peace to all from an old hippie
