Ducky I saw the Dr.

Hi Ducky and everyone that has been so nice to me over the last week.

I had my visit tomy new GI today and it was okay.  I have roped myself into another colonoscopy - I guess I pretty much new that going in but there was that hope that he would miracously know what was going on and be able to fix it.

I have lost 8 pounds since my hospital visit on July 29th so that made him concerned.  He doesn't think I have a stricture because he said I was skinny enough that he would have been able to feel it through my abdomen. He is another one though that believes crohn's doesn't make you constipated.  Is there a GI out there that blieves Crohn's can make you constipated?

Anway, besides that he seemed very nice.  Just a waiting game now until I have the colonoscopy and see what he finds.

I see my Rheumatologist on Sept. 14.

Hi Ducky - I'm glad they were able to get your cable fixed.  I haven't been on for awhile either.  My two nephews are visiting, and I have two cousins that are the same age as my nephews so I have had those two plus my two kids at my house at all weekend.  They all go home tomorrow ;o)

I'm not so sure about this GI but I'm going to give him a chance.  He said what I have heard before and that was "Crohns patients don't get constipated"  It's a bunch of C***.  I have talked to quite a few people on the Cron's forumn who say they are always consitpated.  Granted it's not the norm but it can and does happen.  Anyway, his nurse is supposed to call me Tuesday and set something up for next week.  We'll see what happens. 

I have been exhausted this weekend but I also have six kids ranging from 1 - 12 running around my house so I can't say if it's my disease or the kids lol.  I hope you are having a great long weekend and we'll talk soon.

Well all the kids left on Monday Phew!!!! I'm having a colonoscopy next Wed. and today I am just cranky (I took my methotrexate yesterday and I'm always very irritable the next day ;o( So I'll have my procedure and then see then I see my Rheumy the next day, so at least I may be able to give her a better idea of what's been going on. My joints have been pretty good lately. I've had dicomfort but not pain which is nice.

Speaking of which - do you ever feel like your joints are uncomforable? Like you need to pop them but it's not exactly a feeling of pain. I hope that makes sense.

Well I'm going to stop now because I am soo blabbering right now. I hope you are doing well and this next storm doesn't come your way.
