Seeking Arthritis Doctor in D.C., Virginia, Maryland

I am looking for a rheumatologist for a friend of mine who lives in the National Capital Region (Washington, DC, Suburban Maryland, Northern Virginia). Like me, she has reactive arthritis, aka arthropathy. Her previous doctor managed to get approval for embrel to treat this condition. Don't know if that is an off label use of the drug, as it is approved for psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis.She is also being treated with antibiotics. She definitely wants a cutting edge doctor who will go to bat for her to stay on these medication. She doesn't want to travel all the way to Fairfax City to see Dr. Z.

Does anyone have any recommendations of doctors in this area that are using the latest protocols to treat arthritis? I would very much appreciate any information you can share. If you don't want to provide the name of the doctor on this forum, you can write me at [email protected]

just curious the drs that you mention in the NY Area, are they really good..beucase I need a good DR in the NY area, I want to get my 2nd Opinion, and I would love a word to mouth kinda of refferal...beucase these days, you have to be careful what dr treats you for what....

I spent too many years wasted on trying to find a reputable physician, dont get me wrong, the physician i have he is really wonderful, i just want to make sure, that Im being treated with the best possible care, soo i can beat this ya know...

Any info in Manhattan or Queens Rhuemys, would be greatly appreciated...
