Which Medications work best to get rid of the inflammation? Celebrex worked but made me very very Nauseated. Mobic helps just not as good. Any help here would be appreciated Thanks. Taking warm Baths Lately have been hurting. I have Osteoarthritis in my lower back S1-thru L5. Been through so so much, have a fever (100) and a cough today, so I'm going to the Asthma and GI Doctors Tomorrow. and getting to the point of not caring too. Every book I read on arthritis says exercise and I just wanna tell those authors off right to their face!!!!

best antiinflammatory? hate to say it but .....PREDNISONE or sulumedrol. ugh. Advil, mobic, vioxx helped a bit but not good enough for my case.
for OA....Advil, COQ10, fish oil, Motrim, flaxseed oil, gelatin, glucosamine & chondroitin can be very very helpful but take longer to become effective.

I have found that Turmeric, Ginger, Bromelain and Cayenne work better than any medication i have ever been given.

Especially the Turmeric. That stuff REALLY WORKS! And it's good for you on many other levels, it's a very healthy spice (but isn't particularly "hot" at all).

Bromelain also helps normalize scar tissue when taken on an empty stomach.

A great anti-inflammatory herbal blend is "Zyflamend" by New Chapter. It's got a bit of an intense chemistry (the rosemary and many high potency extracts add up to something that is best taken with plenty of food and water) but it really delivers a knock-out punch to any inflamed tissues in your body!

Just wanted to say THANKS to Everyone. I was in the Hospital yesterday . Still very sore and nauseated. I'll give the "Zyfamend" a try when I can. and I'm not to take any nsaids for 7 - 10 days.

My Dr has the turmeric stuff in his office and wanted me on it but my ins won't cover it or I'd do it!
