hey everyone, i dont think my lungs are going to recoop from tis one. i try to saty up and out of bed and just sit let alone putst (sp)around here doing a few things and i am so tired. just talking tires me . i know this is an arthritis forum but dang i need a sick in bed forum lol. of coursei think it is the mtx that got me to this point of no return from my cold.
el i often have wondered if i was exposed to tb on the subway 2 weeks ago. were u on it? lol

my joints are starting to hurt more now i think do to the fact that i havent taken my mtx in a few weeks.
i have no idea what time it is here if my family has forwarded clocks or not? i keep wondering what day it is.lol

well just popping in to let u know i am still alive. i see my rhuemmy tomorrow reg apt and i will ask if i should let my pulmmy know about the blood. maybe i coughed up one of my nodules? lol

erin i only cogh up the blood in the morning? fresh red.

oh i have watched more home improvement sell ur house organize ur life programs than i care to mention!!!!!
my bedroom tv doesnt get hbo so i have been stuck with either food or home stuff so i have chosen home improvents. any questions i can help i am now and expert in this field after a week long with many hours in a day of watching! i could have used a monk marrathon on usa net ths weekend lol i love monk and his issues.
they make mine look like nothing in comparison lol.
well the wrists are screaming at me to stop typing so i guess i will listen to them. still havent read the posts probably not gonna sry guys thanks for all the support u have given me

my mother is sabatoging (sp?) me. mad i can't have whole milk, cream, nuts...i get sick off of them...BUT, if they're in the house?  i'll eat em'.  no self control whatsoever.  she's ticking me off.  i don't need to be eating that crap w/ my cholesterol any ways (and she's a friggin' diabetic! nono so this crap shouldn't even be in the house!)

 

i said the solution is simple:  DON'T BUY THEM! hello???????? duh, if it ain't in the house, ya won't eat it! aaaaargh. (i've got a teeny bikini to fit into in 2 months!)

 

so still no sleep. been 3 days. this stinks.

You guys both sound horrible! Yalinda--please tell your rheumy about the coughing up the bright red blood. That's so not cool, and it makes me queasy just hearing it (actually, it's the tb meds that are making me queasy). But seriously, I'm worried about you. Take care of yourself.

Erin--out of sight, out of mind, yes? I was so excited because I lost 5 pounds this week--nauseous from all the pills I seem to pop these days. Alas, I think I gained it back over the weekend. Thought I was over the nausea, but it hit full force today. Me and my stomach have to come to an understanding about this stuff. But, actually, if I could lose a few pounds before summer, I'd be thrilled. I'm not horribly overweight, just about 15-20 pounds, but it would make me feel so much better about myself to be back to my pre-pregancy weight. Even if, no bikinis for me after carrying twins to 39 weeks!

In a positive mood, even though I feel like C*&*&(). Feel like I have a stomach virus, temps have been up all day (yesterday too). I almost left work early today, but I carpool into the city and it's not easy to make your way home on your own. If I still feel like heck tomorrow, I may call in.

Erin--get some sleep. Did you say the ambien helps you? If so, take it! For me, anyway, everything is so much easier to take if I have some sleep.

am i sleepin' tonight?????? LOL.  has anyone seen the film "The Machinist"?  that's me in a nutshell.  tongue the dude that hasn't slept in a year (actually, a pretty good movie).  but i do think i have a few pounds on em'! lol  my 102 pounds to what looks like his 60! (Christian Bale that is...very scary looking!)

 

El...be careful, worried for you!

hmmm? Ambien?  i took 3 of them one night...was still up the whole night.

Hi all! Wow, it took me forever to catch up just on thread 24! :-)   Well, I've been up and down with this flu for the last 2 weeks (starting week 3 today) - but no where near as bad as some of you!!! WOW! Coughing up blood Yalinda?! Yikes!? Get in to see the doctor NOW! El, I'm sorry to hear you have to go through the TB treatment....hang in there, it sounds like you are coming to terms with it and not as worried about everyone else as you were, but I know it's hard!

Well, though the house plumbing is fixed (YEAH!) and my plumbing is still on the fritz, but better - our house is nowhere near back in order......everything has been on hold while I've been sick (not to mention we haven't gotten our carpet replaced yet to put the rooms back together) and it's just not helping me to look at this mess! Errrgh!

Hey Erin - here's hoping you get some good zzzz's! I'm sorry you are having such a bad time again with sleeping. That just makes everything so much worse! sad

no sleep? Im so sorry to hear that. Is it the pain that keeps you awake? or is it just insomnia type feeling?

I know we cannot talk about herbal treatment but it would be crazy If you at least did not try it. or have you already?

YOWEEEE! Erin, I don't know how you do it. I'd be freakin'. Half of an Ambien puts me out for a few hours.
CaMama, hope you're feeling better. Did the flu just knock you on your tail? I've heard it's pretty bad. Daughter called me yesterday and said she'd done soooo many flu tests in her lab that were positive. I guess it's here. I took a flu shot this year but you never know......
I walked a mile on the treadmill yesterday at the Y before work. Going to try to go every morning. Maybe it will help with the fibro if nothing else.

Yeah, the flu did me in....but it seemed like such a mild case! My joints are really starting to feel the effects of it and I'm having some bad trouble with my feet now among other areas. Last year, I had the flu shot on Jan 3rd and was in bed by the 17th and couldn't hear for almost 6 weeks from a massive ear infection! Needless to say, I passed on it this year!

Erin, did you finally get some sleep?

thanks so much for the concern guys! Camama & Boo...and welcome Zeek to the "moanin'" club!  glad you joined in on the fun.

 

ya know..after like 4 or 5 nights of ZERO sleep...you kinda start to trip out & hallucinate! LOL. tongue but last night (i think) i slept from 12midnight till 4:30pm wednesday!

oh Zeek...we can talk herbal supplements...just not the "MJ" tongue  and yeah, it's joint pain (usually the knees & ankles) that keeps me awake.  sleep pills, painkillers...nothing puts me out.

Camama ((((((((hugs)))))))) here's to better days ahead.

on TLC they had a show on Sleep...i think i definitely want to change my bedroom! do the whole Chinese influence thang. thank God i don't sleep walk! yikes.

i fell sick today too.  nausea/vomiting/severe headache.  couldn't move! seems like it passed now.

I hallucinate when I'm tired, and I don't need to have ZERO sleep for that to happen! When I was on Remicade, the hallucinations were getting so bad, I was starting to get scared that I was going crazy!

I'm glad you got some sleep - albeit only a little. Hopefully some restful slumber comes your way tonight!

ok, slept again. from 6am till 12 noon.  woke up thankfully to no migraine or N/V.

joints are not happy, mad wrists are screamin'. mad

did i mention that i have my SSDI hearing in December? just happy they didn't forget about me.  i wish it wasn't so far away, wish it were sooner.

ok folks...hang in there.

El...how are you makin' out with the meds?  i did have sympathy barfs for you yesterday tongue

You have to wait until DECEMBER????? Holy cow, can these guys drag their feet any more with you???? I agree, at least it is something and they haven't forgotten....but, waiting yet another 9 months for the hearing?????????????????????????????????? I want to say , 'yeah finally!" for the hearing, but add a few colorful words to the wait time once again!

Glad you got a little more sleep.

yeah right? that was well over a year and a half for a trial. and not even a date...just a month? oy!
i'm not getting excited...they'll deny me. i'm figuring they'll deny me till i'm 50.
just thinking back...this is 5 years of battling!
i did the math in my head today...if i was wroking a fulltime job...the month of March alone?...i would have only been able to show up for work ONE time...March 13th i was pretty active w/ little pain.
in february i would have needed to call out every day.

now i'm wondering should i get an attorney for this or what?

Gosh erin, I hope you get this SSDI stuff worked out--and get some sleep!!!! I'm so exhausted these days (I think it's coming down off the enbrel or something), but I still get way more sleep than you do.

Thanks for the sympathy barfs :) Meds are still going; they still suck; and I still walk around queasy all day long. I just sent my hubbie out for diet gingerale and I was thinking about trying to find some hard ginger candy to suck on tomorrow. Know where I can find any? GNC? Saw my rheumy this morning, but didn't really learn anything new. Just that I can expect that my arthritis will feel worse before it's all over--enbrel is still in my system. I tell, you these tb meds are something else! Not only do I take a handful (about a dozen) every morning, but when they make you feel like they do, it's no wonder there's such a high noncompliance rate!

ERin, or anyone else in the know about tb, should I be concerned about this nausea? My doctor warned me about the nausea, but everything I've read tells me that you shouldn't experience it for more than 3 days or so. If it's longer than that, it could be your liver. I have a hepatic panel to do next week, so my doctor will be checking on my liver, but with my constant nausea and fatigue I was just wondering if I should call her sooner?

Off to bed--Erin, you should go to bed too. I hope everyone else is doing well. Yalinda? You feeling any better? Camama? Boo? anyone else I missed, please excuse me. I'm dizzy and nauseous and not responsible for my lack of awareness :)

Awe....yeah you need a hand in this.
There are a lot of strong antiemetics....get some! Demand em'!
Antivert I find helped a lot with dizziness.
When I was being treated for Lymes...I was on heavy duty AX cocktails...like 20 to 30 pills a day of 4 or 5 different AX...and puke city!!!!!!!!!!!
@ one of those natural foods stores (here in NJ there's a "John's") where they sell a bunch of herbs, and everything under the sun...all organic stuff & homeopathic rememdies. they sell dried Ginger and also Ginger lozengers.
Chamomille tea i find helps...and marshmallow fluff.
what about taking them with a bigger meal? are you doing them at nightime?

what you're reading regarding the N/V lasting 3 days...that's the IDEAL case. i have neverseen anyone just go through a 3 day rough patch! more like weeks!
if ya have a gut instinct...go get the labs sooner. are you yellow? skin, eyes? urine very dark?

oh our poor El!!!!! ((((((((hugs))))))))) i will say an extra special prayer for you tonite.

Erin, yes, I think you should seriously consider getting a lawyer....since you have the time (sigh!), I would start calling around and find one you like who will work in your favor (not take money right now and won't take 40%+ of anything you get.)

El, I'm sorry you are so sick. One thing I'm finding out about meds in general - is if the meds say 'take with food' or 'take with plenty of water' - that will help some, and they MEAN PLENTY of water! If you are concerned about your liver, I would call and talk to your doctor now.  The extreme fatigue and nausea can be caused by that and you don't want it to get any worse than it needs to.

I'm doing better - but my cough suddenly showed up again yesterday. I had 3 days off and now I'm hacking away again. My joints have been bothering me....the worst is my feet.....I can't walk or function when they act up like they've been trying. I'm supposed to go on my son's field trip today with him and I'm worried how I'll be able to hold up.

I think I'm going to N/V from reading these posts. Your guys are having such a rough go of it! That's one thing that I can't handle very well. When I was on heavy (and I mean HEAVY) antibiotic treatment for Staph I thought about putting my tv in the bathroom. Had to take it on an empty stomach. Oh, the misery. For three weeks and that was after massive IV treatment for a week in the hospital. I'm so grateful I survived! I'm praying for you guys!!!!! Boo

But it's the weekend AND it's St. Paddy's Day!  Any plans?  Me?  Nope, hubby is working, so I'll be home.. maybe I'll put some green food coloring in whatever I decide to drink/eat tonight so I can feel festive.. yeah Here's to a good Saturday!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all feeling better! I'm going through a flare, or I'm coming down with something AWFUL! sad My teeth hurt like they are loose and I was punched in both jaws, my feet hurt, my hands ache, and I have sludge in my throat. What gives? I thought it was allergies, but I'm getting worse every day. I'm getting blood work tomorrow, I hope my liver enzymes aren't up!

Sorry to whine. I just needed to get that off my chest.

Did anyone do 'fun' stuff last weekend for St. Patrick's day?

Moanin' everyone tongue

 

well it seems as though things have been real busy around here!  i have missed u all but i wasnt in the "chatty" mood the past few weeks.  imagine that?! lol

 

still recooping from my "tb like" flu.  it took everything out of me and more, except a few pounds which it added!  who knew sherbet and jello had soo many calories! i think it was all the juices too!

 

still have a cough and nasal congestion but i am starting to get some energy back.  i have been working tons this week too- to make up for all the lost time off from work i had. ugh

 

of course i am in a flare right now too.  shoulders wrists finger ankles and toes all hurting.  my muscles also feel weak?!  not just joints?  whats that all about?  i feel like i have md?  oh well?

 

not too many moanin posts but tons of the others!  and tons of new peps!  welcome all as always tongue

 

well i want to catch a power lunch nap here before i go to my next apt.  i want to chat tonight but i am not certain i will have the stamina to stay up? i know 7pm but workin and being sick takes its toll so i will see?
