   Oh my gosh i cant how much of a diffrence this remicade infusion has made. I totally felt the diffrance the very next day and every day i feel a lil bit better tongue . This weekend i was able to go for a long walk on the beach with my daughter n my hubby, It was awsome i was also able to play with her on the swings, its  been a whike that i could do that. My only regret is that i didnt start this sooner, like a year ago when my rhumy first talked to about it. But i was to scared for such a change. Oh well better late than never huh?

 

   I go for my 2nd infusion next tuesday im REALLY looking foward to it. I'll keep ya posted. tongue

I'm so happy for you! I also know what you mean. It took me a year to try the Enbrel. I was so freaked out by the side effects. I am medication phobic and have alot of stress around any and all medications. It is great that you are getting relief so fast. I hope the Remicade helps you to improve everyday.

I remember when I first got Remicade and I was (mentally) doing back flip. I could not believe how much better I felt even after the first infusion. It was amazing. I went camping soon after my 4th infusion in Colorado and I was doing AWESOME. We even got snowed in a bit and I survived w/o even a wince. I think the high elevation helped as well.....but still....amazing!

Hi, I have been offered the Remicade for both my Crohns amd AS and I would have to also stay on the pred and MTX. I was wondering how much of each of these you are taking? Are you on high doses? I am on 30mg pred and 25mg MTX and will consider the Remicade if both my Rheumy and Gastro would say I could taper down.
Im scared of all the immuno suppressing these meds combined will do, although I do want relief.

   Hey there well lets see im on 15mg of mtx and prior to the remicade i was on 10mg of the prednisone, and now im only taking 5mg of pred. Also im now off the sulfasalazine and plaquanil. so its just the naproxen, prednisone and mtx. Like you i was also scared, i put off the treatment for 1 year. And because of that they added the sulfa and plaquanil, those drugs seemed to work but only for a few weeks then the pain would come back. Finally i decided to try it out, and boy did i regret not starting it sooner. Ive only had my first treatment and im truly amazed with the results. I go for my second treatment on tuesday and im really looking foward to it.

Thanks for the info, Ive yet to decide what to do re the Remicade, I have to the 10th May when I see both my Gastro and Rheumy and have to let them know by then. Im happy to hear its working so well for you, please stay well. Thanks again.
