Nope kiddies are here.. am actually getting them ready for bed.. but have had about an hour on the computer uninterrupted! That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO rare! :) :) :)

Storm is headed this way though.. looks nasty.. like we need more humidity

Glad Yalinda and Bear made contact!

Interesting week here.  Actually very tough week.  One employee took another job and gave me no notice.  Mother-in-law keeps acting up at her new home and turning off oxygen, home was short 5 people on their staff last night and we were there til almost midnight (having a "conference" with administrator today as this is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.  There are many fine homes in nearby Oklahoma City), oldest daughter and her husband got a kick in the belly yesterday, he has colo-rectal cancer, 33 years old.  We're all devastated and in shock.  CT scan and surgery next week.  Surprise b-day for middle daughter last night.  It went great except for being on the 3rd floor of the bar.  Had to wait in the heat for owner to unlock back door so I could be transported by service elevator. Oh, well.  I didn't get this body from a box of Cracker Jacks.  It took me 54 years to get it this way (tomorrow's my b-day). 

All prayers, chants and good vibes for son-in-law would be greatly appreciated.  Boo

boo what a week! sad    first let me say when caught in time colon-rectal cancer can be cured.  hopefully it was caught early!  i am certain u will get more info on wha stage the ancer is in and exactly what proceedures will have to be done. please please know we are all here for u to vent cry and talk about whatever it is u need to....... Thanks so very much. Feels so good to be loved! You are a very special and awesome bunch of people.
Going to try to have a somewhat normal day. Kids are needing some alone time with their kids this weekend. Back to hospital Monday morning. I am going to try to hobble my broken little excuse for a body to see the youngest grandchild today. He screams to high heaven every time he sees my face. Never seen such separation anxiety in a baby (since his mother was a baby). I didn't go ANYWHERE for a year after she was born. I guess you really do pay for your raising. Swollen, achey day. My grandma used to say, "It's a rheumatiz day".
But, hey...... met with business broker Thurs. Going to finally list the place. Yahooooooooooo. Boo

Ah Boo.. your poor SIL.. I am adding him to my prayer list.. Hang in there.. And like Yally said, caught early, he'll be just fine!

Now to your birthday.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY.. I knew I liked you for some reason, my birthday was on Wednesday the 25th.. Woo-hoo! :) Let's party! :) :) :)

Just need to make a quick apology, Ducky. Last night I posted some "ventings" that I probably shouldn't have. I deleted it, and am feeling pretty embarrassed and stupid today. If you saw it, I am so sorry. I was feeling completely overwhelmed and frustrated by family things, trying so hard to help everyone else hold things together, that I'm sort of falling apart myself.
You all have such a close-knit thing going on here, felt like a safe place to let go, but realized later I shouldn't have.
Anyway...just need to get that off my chest.

Where's my opsting i posted two hours ago and its gone and I wasn't even that political. Such for th land of the free - either that or there are gremlins in th machine - probably the latter.

As usual Boo there is nothing that I can say but it is now in the hands of the gods and the surgeons. The Apsley chapter of the gong bashers and chanters social club will be informed upon my return on monday and your son in law will be in their thoughts when thy open their gohonzons. I do wish you a happy irthday and hope you have many more in better times than these. I did bake you a cake in the hotel kitchen but it collapsed under the weight of the candles!!!! It would have been nice really - honest!!!

How are you erin? keep the faith and drop by when you feel well.

Well my hip held up just about but the walking around in 85 degree eat was a killer cos of the humidity. went to a barbeque this evening at the home of a congressman's chief of staff - forget which c-man but a splendid time was had by all.

I shall fly back having spent time with wonderful people from all over the usa - good people all. governments are not the people and the people should never be judged by their government....

stay well good people and a special * to the yally long may she confuse hotel staff.

Well, Happy Birthday, Ducky! I appreciate all the cake baking that's been going on.
Baby, bless your heart. Don't apologize for venting. If we could just be sick and not have to take care of homes, jobs, families, etc. life might be a little easier. But we wouldn't have the character and the witty, sarcastic sense of humor we all seem to have. And we wouldn't have sought support and met each other. That would be a great big hole in my soul to not have you guys. I, for one, feel humbled to be able to share your trials and tribulations.
Thanks for the chanting and bonging(?) Bear. I love the support I get here. Hope you have a very safe trip home and so happy that your hip has made it thus far.
I got a B-Day card from my sister....something about the silly clothes our mother used to make us wear and that I can stop now. I think that's the second reference she has made to my clothing choices. Going to have to check out my closet today. Blessings to all, Boo

Thank you so much for the kind words, Boo.  Been a tough few weeks, and not sure when it will be better. A lot going on with work, family,etc.  You know how it is, you've sure had a tough time of it yourself. Biggest worry for me right now is my brother.  He and his two young kids moved here almost two years ago because his wife got mixed up with drugs in a bad way.  Well, she followed him, and things just keep going from bad to worse.   We done everything we could do to help him and the kids, but don't know what more we can do. He has AI disease as well, so this as all really taken a toll on his health as well. The kids have had a hard time of it and it all just breaks my heart, for all of them.  My sister-in-law, too.  It's horrible to watch what has happened to her life.

Feeling very frustrated and helpless, wanting so much to be able to make this all better, especially for those two kids. Friday was a really low day for me, some things really blew up about all of this, and that's what my post was about.

Anyway, thanks again for the support, it was much needed, and appreciated more than you will ever know..

jody, i can tell by your posts your a special person and i know you are going to be there for those two kids and your brother and just by being there you are making it better.
just dont let the stress and sorrows build up and put you in a flare. somethings are out of our control and others we can guide along. some of us as bear says chant and bang while others quietly meditate and pray. chose your releases and know we are all here for you to laugh cry and yes vent. never regret what your heart says. major hugs for a better day ((((((((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))))))

when in the kayhill is this med gonna work so i can be normal again! and no i dont know what a kayhill is?!

i ran outof the lidoderm patches jsut one day and i am in such pain again. pharm was closed yesterday when i got there and worked today so i dint get a chance to get it filled going in a bit as soon as i find out where all my chicks are...... they have left the nest without a note. dad probably knows but i dont! so anyways just venting man this pain is unreal is all i can say ugh! i am at a high 8 out of ten. unreal but i am alive so i should be happy about that i guess.

this poor Yally! eyes i'm overstocked w/ Lidoderm patches, want em'? hmmm...in the RX you should be able to get 3 patches per day & 3 boxes per RX; did ya' just get samples?

i do believe this can be a call in RX to the pharmacy, it'd be good to bypass the Dr visit.

 

Ducky i sooooo missed your BDay!!!!!! mad i hope it was a good one toots! :-)

 

so yeah, it's been really REALLY difficult lately.  i get enough oomph to check my email & do a little reading like every 3 days, so i apologize for my absense.

basically been in bed, not being able to sit up for more than 30 seconds (Crohns issues).  Crohns i hate to say got worse just recently so when i see "JZ" next monday we'll have to see what's going on "up there" eyes

 

oh this is funny...so i didn't sleep for several days, and saturday morning 4am i FINALLY FALL asleep, and i didn't wake up till SUNDAY 9pm! tongue whacky! i missed a whole day! LOL.

 

hmmm, i've got the learning "itch bug" festering...UH OH!!!!!!  darn...we all know how THAT went in the past, LOL. 

but what i think i want to do is start to master a language! yay...that's like one thing that i DON'T have as an asset to my nursing background: medical spanish.

i have text books & i think in a few months i could probably afford some conversational tools for language.  i think i'm going to go for it.  i never had time to do this & ALWAYS wanted to (there were so many times where a translator was needed on the unit).

 

so yeah...God willing sometime in the next 50 years i get to work? i'll have an extra skill. smurf
