I had a MRI in May and just got my results from my Rheumatologist who originally thought I had Cervical Spinal Stenosis. This is the results. He said it was OsteoArthritis. This is the report:
C 3-4: there is miminal annular disc bulging indenting the thecal sac, central canal and neural foramen are patent.
C 5-6: There is annular disc bulging indenting the thecal sac. There is minimal right neural foraminal narrowing secondary to uncovertebral osteophyte/disc complex.
C 6-7: Annular disc bulging indenting the thecal sac. The neural foramen are patent. No significant compromise to the neural canal.
C 7-T1: There is annular disc bulging indenting the thecal sac, causing bilateral neural foraminal narrowing.
IMPRESSION:
Mild spondylosis affecting C5-6 and C6-7 where more prominent annular disc bulges are identified indenting the thecal sac, however. no significant central canal stenosis is identified. The neural foramina are grossly patent with only mild narrowing at C7-T1 and on the right at C5-6.
I need layman's terms. HELP!
My rheumatologist didn't give me this report, the hospital did, when I picked it up to give it to the pain management clinic. I have to have bloody injections. EEEK! I HATE NEEDLES!!
