Yally what does sry mean, I am not hip to de slang on de computer. Am beginning to think it's all about football with some folks. Some call the football team the New Jersey Giants around here...I mean let me have a million bucks too and I could race out on the field (my astral being at least) and you could call me Astral Giant Joan.  I missed one of my antibiotics and let me tell ya there was pain. All I know is gotta get two scripts filled and it looks like an ice hockey rink around here. Peace

Jody,  we like Nascar as well and my son hopes that his he will eventually lead to Nascar but he is still a few levels below that.  We are looking at tickets for either Martinsville or Bristol in March, I thing Bristol may be sold out.

It's great to hear from you! I'm glad that your son is okay and those storms can be terrifying! Here it is just COLD with a bit of snow here and there. I'm waiting to begin the Enbrel and went for a TB test on Monday and will go back tomorrow for the reading of that. However, right now I have a cold and just feel run down so I hope that will not interfere with the first shot that I get at the office.

I read that you are not feeling well and are now in a flare..when do you get back on your meds? Are you feeling better today? When do you go back to the doctor?

I'm really starting to get scared to take the Enbrel especially with the MTX?????? since the MTX suppresses the immune system and so does the Enbrel? How do you keep from getting sick or getting infections? Did anyone else have this concern?? Do you have to take the two together?

I'm not sure who posted about having a tooth infection??? but the same thing happened to me when a filling came out, and I was going to ask you if you are on MTX?? but I came down with the worst infection and it took two different antibiotics to get rid of it, and the pain was horrid! It was as if the infection cropped up overnight since I had been to the dentist a few days prior and nothing was there.

The weather is fine and the bear comes out of hibernation toperuse the threads and posts - actually I have been reading the posts but haven't had the time/finger dexterity to post. I'm sorry to read of everybody's illnesses and pain. particularly Joan. Hang on in there Joan and the fine weather will come around soon and the sun will soothe your pain I am sure. Peace on.

I been busy,  stressed out and supporting a fellow pwp who is in an abusive relationship and not getting  much help. I now am in debt to the tune of over half a million dolllars iin mortgages but what the hell   it now means that the move to a bigger cave will happen in two weeks time. I go back to work finally next Thursday and go to see my new neurologist and get the results of  my MRI scan and blood tests and then I will know for sure as sure is whether or not I have pd or possibly something else more benign/mailign we shall see what we shall see.

I wrote the shortest play ever with opening line - "Enter Godot".

Going back to work willl be strange but I am hoping to take early retirement at the end of the year and I have to start the moves like now to get it sorted in time. Whether I can afford to retire is another matter entirely but momma bear will have to work full time. Handre hurting and nonresponsive now si will say

Weather here keeps changing and the aches and pains come with it.  Fell in the bathtub Sunday.  Mobility getting more and more limited as time goes on.  Have a nice, big, fat knee now.  Ain't it the pits?

mom23 - whohoo i hope the enbrel is as good for you as it was for me!!!!!!  myself no illness from it just increassed range of motion and decreased inflammation! so good luck

 

sj- hi and so glad your posting on moanin!   yep we need to wipe out our immune systems or atleast decrease them cuz they are misbehaving!   mine never really was doing its job anyways even before i went on my drugs i was sick all the time.  i think my immune system sees a cold and runs to my synovium! lol  i am wierd as since i am on all my immunosuppresant drugs i have not had many colds anymore.  also some warts i had for over 30 years went away as soon as i went on the drugs.  crazy but true for me!  and i went to atleast a dozen different docs to get rid of those warts and they never left til i went on mtx! so go figure?

 

jody- seems like forever since we have communicated? lol  how you doing?  i think i read you have a busy week this week.  your body holding up after the big move???? thinking of you lumi

me if you get this far in this long post, lol  i had some so so news yesterday...... had my annual run of a million xrays of almost evry joint and found out that my cervical spine is real bad with C4,5,6,and 7 involvement.  some pretty bad sounding from what i understood from the radiologist- but i need to talk to the rhuemmy one on one to truely understand whats up.  i also found out the synovium in my left knee esp is almost gone on the one side and not great in the right knee.  it showed fluid on the knee too.  i told the doc it onl hurts real bad if i kneel so i just dont kneel!  got ome spurs too in my feet but nothing i cant deal with- so it seems since my last series i have some areas with significant changes .  going to find out what that means to my future and meds i guess?  i wont jump to too many conclusions as some of the talk esp. my neck was a bit above my comprehension.  i will get the lay terms soon.  i go the 18th to the doc.  and go back on meds whoohoo!!!!!

 

well that is all my news- doing good back to full swing at work now and handling it ok.  i think we are allso use to pain that we just deal with it.  i hurt and i think yea so what i ahve hurt forever it seems.  well hands screaming from this long post so tata  hugs to all

I'm sorry to hear your exrays didn't look so good. I will be praying that all goes well for you and they find a way to prevent further damage.

dear bear ... ain't this just a confusing mess ...

woke up with the shingles pain two or three nights ago

and now am drowsy from lyrica ... of all people my allergist

decided to follow up on me ... went for blood test today on

shingles and also had a a dtp (diptheria/tenus/perkussis (whooping cough)

first shot and will get another shot and a booster shot too.

Thank God/Godess because shingles has not been a FUN experience.

My advice to you would be to worry more about your health

than the money trip...after all they can't dig you up for it.

Am doing some mental writing but can't handle that either...Lyrica

medicine is making me very drowsy. (am on my second relapse now)

Finally!  A non-working weekend.  Just a cup of coffee and my computer.  Yeah!

Things going very well the last few days.  Ironic that there has been a lot of debris clearing after the ice storms and we are doing the same, the hubby and I.  Some things just need to be bundled up and thrown away.  A very good job we are doing and moving on. 

Thanks for the concern on the fall.  I'm sure it will be the first of many to come.  Not sore anymore, but it sure bruises my pride. 

There seems to be so much humidity in Oklahoma no matter the time of year.  My fingers have not given me a break in weeks.  I took my wedding rings to be sized again (haven't worn them in 8 years).  I had one finger left that wasn't twisted and gnarled, my ring finger.  Now it's growing.  I asked the guy how many times he could stretch them.  He just laughed.  Great man and he's used to having to do this for some of his customers with arthritis who won't give up their jewels.  Very compassionate.

I'm going to have a fantastic weekend and hope my Friends do the same!  Boo

moanin everyone! oh i cant wait til next week! ihope i start my meds asap! my hips are now kicking in at the waist line big time with pain! whats that all about??? of course bilateral pain. anyways that and the aches all over i am so ready to go back on my meds. my wonds seem healed on the outside so hopefully i will be ready to go next week! i do have some clear plastic threads hanging out of my gut teehee, was gonna cut them myself but figure i will wait til the rhuemmies! after all i am not a surgeon. lol

well other than horrible wweather expected which will make my body scream more and an already moanin body all is well on tis end of the world. how is everyone else doing. oh ducky this is the week!!!!!!!!! hubby comes home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whoohoo. i am so happy for you. i am certain we willnot hear from you this week but know we are thinking of you!!!!!!! i am certain no matter how achey you feel you will be flying high on his arrival back home.
