Good Morning, I am new to this forum. I have had RA since at least age 40 and I am now age 61. I have been on Remicade for about
18 months, 7 bottles every 7 weeks. I inject 20 mg of MTX once a week and was on Darvocet 2-3 daily until the first of February when they switched me to Vicodin 1-2 daily. For about
the past 5 months I have noticed that I have pain in my joints. Originally when I went on Remicade I was basically pain free except for my feet and ankles. Recently thought the pain is in my hip, shoulder, knee and both hands, ankles and feet. It moves and comes and goes. It feels like the Remicade is working then not working. At night the right shoulder, hip and sometimes the knee ache. If I touch the joint it doesn't hurt, I have full movement of the joint but the pain is there. If I am moving it hurts less. Like this morning rather than lie in bed I get up and go to the computer which takes my mind off the pain. The pain is not as bad as without Remicade but it is there always and never leaves. It is waring me out. I saw the GP on Thursday and he took x-ray's and blood test. I find out on Tuesday what the results are. He doesn't think it is RA since my Sed rate is 6 and I have no swlling or stiffness when he moves my joints. In the morning my hands do have some stiffness but I can make a fist and move freely. I am concerned as I also had my prostrate removed for cancer 5 1/2 years ago and while I don't believe it is cancer there is always the possiblitity. It feels and acts like RA. Your thoughts or experience would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob
