MTX only??

I used to take plaquinal...then the doctor put me on MTX (even though I am miserable on it ) and took the plaquinal completely away.  I suffer fibromyalgia too...and for the past 3 weeks, I have been in agony..and I am not using that description lightly.  I hurt so bad, I cant walk, I cant lift my arms, cant sit on the loo without a raised toilet seat, and even that is utterly painful..but I can use my fingers.  Last night, I was convinced that I must have something more going on with me to be in so much excruciating pain that even percocet doesnt touch.

I used to just take the plaquinal, and I was fine.  when I say I cant walk...I really CANT walk..I dont know if this pain is RA fibromyalgia or both or something new.  Just curious as to what meds your doctor gives you for the RA.

Thanks for your response.  I am calling my rheumy's office today, AND the pharmacy to see if there are any repeats for the plaquinal left on my file.  There have been some terrible stressful times in my life since the RA dx, but I never got this bad when on the plaquinal..I wasnt crippled up for weeks, but now I am.  I feel like he will probably want to raise my MTX dose..and currently..I am on 12.5 mg once a week.  Is that what dose you are on too?

Anyway, I rested all weekend by doing almost nothing   , however, last night and this morning I feel somewhat better, but that can change in a heartbeat it seems.

I think my doc will raise the dose too.  I have been on the 12.5 mg for a year now. I have refills for the plaquinal...and I got them now. I am going to start them tonite...it will probably be like new again..but I didnt really get very sick with plaquinal...just a tiny bit..nothing like what MTX was like thats for sure.
