new and need opinions please

so the rhuemy put me on Nsaids and I said that I am concerned about a crohns flare but he just kind of said if it happens we will stop. he tested me for ankylosing spondylitis and I am now going to be taking sulindac 150 mg twice daily. I am fustrated because I dont want to have another flare but I want this pain to go away. Any expieriences with NSAIDS positive or negative. It was just alot to take in the day after my crohns anniversary and a week before my 20th birthday.

Hi Shellz, welcome! Sorry to hear about the news right before your birthday.

There are a few people here with RA and chrons, so hopefully they can pipe in here soon. I know NSAIDs can wreck havoc on your system, but since I don't have chrons, I cannot give you any information.

If you are concerned, is there another doctor you can refer to? Do you see a specialist for the chrons that you can defer to?
