The first thing I wonder is why are your joints hurting? It's important to find the underlying cause instead of just treating the symptoms. One thing I'd highly recommend is an MRI of your knee just to rule out anything mechanical. Then, if all is ok, talk to your doctor about checking your vitamin d levels, but, if you're outdoors alot, that's probably fine. Look into flax seed and fish oil supplements as they are also supposed to help reduce inflammation:
