I have RA and have been having a difficult time the past few months. I was diagnosed with it over thirty years now. The doctor now has me on Enbel, I've given myself three injections so far, I had to go back to the doctor today to get more cortisone shots in my wrists and elbow. The pain was going off the chart. How long did it take for this drug help you? I'm sure hoping for some results. So far just rashes where I injected myself. Please let me know how you are doing and how long it took for the drug to start helping you.

i'm sorry the enbrels not help you faster. i don't think my results were average but i felt 90% normal in 1 day from first shot. 98% normal within 3 days.
after 2 months of shots it's tapper back to 90-95% normal. my rhuem couldn't believe the results.
good luck

I am on humira but as it is another biological agent thought I'd reply anyway! It took about 4 shots before I noticed the lack of stiffness in the mornings and slowly as the weeks went on lost a major amount of swelling in all my joints. It was not overnight like alot of lucky people on this sight but now after 6 months I would not like to give it up. My rheumy told me some biological agents work better than others on individuals so if you have no improvement after 3 months I'd ask to change.
