don't know what is going on with my hubby

I just joined today but I was reading your posts. I have been diagnosed with RA since 1993, I am 40 years old. I was originally told that I have Lupus, and that diagnosis over the years changed to RA because my symptoms are more consistent with Rhematoid Arthritis. I have had four different doctors over the past sixteen years since my diagnosis. I have a very elevated ANA level but don't show many of the symptoms that are more consistent with Lupus. I have basically been told that I have an immunologic disease with blood work that could indicate Lupus or RA, and that I should be aware of certain symptoms that could develop into Lupus symptoms. So sometimes there is no clear absolute diagnosis. Enbrel has worked really well for me. I also take Plaquenil, and Sulindac (anti-inflammatory). I used to take methotrexate and some bad side effects over time so I stopped taking it. I'm considering taking Restasis for my eyes which are having some problems due to being dry.

I hope your husband can find a doctor who will try many different treatment options to find one that is effective.

Do you mind if I ask how your symptoms started and as it progressed what your symptoms are...or did have they ever changed?  How are you doing with the meds you are on....are you feeling a lot better?  You mentioned your ana is elevated....does that include your dsANA (double strand)?
