Hi Everyone

Im new here and am hoping to get some insight into your experiences with Mabthera

I have had cronic RA for 6 years now. I have been on Humira but it did nothing, so they have now put me onto Mabthera. Does anyone know how long it takes to worrk as I have had my seconnd infusion and nothing yet!

Feeling very disallusioned and in ENORMOUS pain.

Your insight would be greatly appreciated :)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but why flood the forums with the same statement galilieo?

No mention of your problems just visit a website?????

I'm confused has a post been edited?
I've never heard of mabthera is it like remicade? So many new meds out there!
I hope it works, please let us know how you go, I'm not wholely convinced my humira is still working as it should be so always open for new info,
welcome to the forum butterfly. Sorry to hear you're in such pain, I'll keep my fingers crossed that the mabthera kicks in soon for you. It sometimes takes a while for these meds to work, its unfortunately different for everybody. Keep in touch, golitho

Hi Golitho,

I can explain: this past week someone with the name of galilieo (I think) flooded all questions with the same answer and made up story, which I thought to be suspect as they wanted you all to go to a new website which would cure you!!!  I knew instantly that it was suspect and would lead to everyone going there and getting their computers infected with a virus shakehead I emailed Admin. and expressed my thoughts, they in turn investigated and withdrew all entries as it was indeed to make you go to an infected site. Therefore it reads out of context now. lol.

Hi peggy baggins and all! I wanted to tell that even if you accessed that link your computer wouldn't have been infected if your anti-virus did it it's job well. But, I guess that it is quite efficient. I may suggest you to change it and I recommend you to use Kaspersky instead. I use it too and it is very good. I never in my life heard of that drug- is it a hoax?

The drug is retuximab an anti-tnf. A quick google search can give you a bit of info-unfortunately it is a new enough drug that you may not find anyone with experience with it.

Sorry, not an anti tnf-it is an anti B cell drug that has been used to treat lymphoma and is now being used to treat RA.
