Anybody with mixed connective tissue disease?

HI! I usually hang out on the crohn's forum and sometimes the fibromyalgia forum. After the return of joint pain a few weeks ago, I went to the rheumy today. He did some tests but thinks I have mixed connective tissue disease.
For those of you with this diagnosis, would you mind sharing your symptoms with me? I have a rash, positive blood test for crohn's, had colitis that is in remission right now, with knee, shoulder and knee joint pain. Oh, and a lot of fatigue. My doc put me on plaquenil. I hope it works for me. I've read it can take a long time to work. When I took while the colitis was not under control, it gave me stomach cramps. I sure hope it doesn't this time b/c I don't know what else they will give me. I can't take NSAIDS (colitis) nor celebrex (allergy). This stuff sure has impacted my life and I so want to feel good again with energy and no pain-:) Too much to expect?? Thanks!

I have noticed in someones signature that they suffer with connective tissue disease, I hope they see this and reply for you.

I have had the connective tissue disease diagnosis. Mine was precipitated by the biologic meds I took for my Crohn's. Then I was diagnosed with Lupus. After a year on Plaquenil and off the biologics, my symptoms departed and my blood work returned to normal. The people in the Lupus forum are very helpful and there are others there with mixed connective disease issues. You might want to try posting there too.

I will tell you my three major symptoms were a low grade fever daily for almost six months, joint pain and swelling in joints not normally bothered by my AS, and FATIGUE. Everything I did was like trying to walk through chest high snow. I literally would be exhausted walking the 50' across my house. I hope the Plaquenil kicks in soon and does the trick for you.

Thanks Ides, I did find some information on the lupus forum. It is funny how all these auto immune diseases run together. There are quite a few people with crohns and these other auto immune diseases. I am anxious to get my bloodwork back. I hope the plaquenil does ok with the stomach. I tried it before and it bothered me, so I am hoping that wont' happen again. Yea, I am so darn fatigued I can hardly get off the couch or bed! We can't take NSAIDS and I am allergic to celebrex-:) Thanks again, Ides, I appreciate the response!
