Hello...

Suffering for years....
Will start methotrexate 25mgs, 1cc shot muscle once a week.
I hope this helps me.

Does anyone take B vitamins.
I am also on the Folic acid, the slowfe (iron), syntroid, lasix (water pill),
Premerin, astma meds.

Hi Magoo,

I take MTX 20mg orally and I find that helps better with my AS than it does my CD. I also take Humira which is better for my CD than my RA, just as well I take both eyes

I havent taken B vitamins. I take folic acid too.

Have you tried any of the TNF meds?

I thank you for sharing about the methotrexate...
The Gastro cannot give me the 6 -MP, nor other things because I have history of Positive PPD
Tuberculosis ...truer
Tment did not work, so I have what is called latent TB.......

Methotrexate 25 mg In muscle for 12 weeks then only 8 mgs maintenance........I do not want treatment.......I hate the side effects....I want quality of life...
Do not want to be having side effects which could make the cronhs worst.

I a scared.

Hi Magoo

I know how you feel about how scary these meds are, but like you said quality of life is more important.

We all get scared to take them, but when they satrt working those fears will subside :-)

Give the MTX some time to kick in. Here's hoping thats the med that works for you :-)
