Mobic-does it help?

Hello everyone! I actually have lupus but my doctor has put me on Mobic to see if that helps that pain and I figured you guys would be the best ones to answer my questions. They put me on 15 mg and while I was reading the insert from the pharmacy, it listed 3 of the medicines i take..(cyclosporine, prednisone, lisinopril)! Is anyone on Mobic taking any of these drugs???

Also, has anyone found relief using mobic? In the past I have been on Day Pro and Diclofenac without any relief but we are hoping since my lupus is better controled now, that it might help with the joint swelling and pain. We have even tried narcotics and things such as tramadol with no luck. It seems the only thing helps is lots and lots of prednisone. I believe I had test done yesterday to check for RA so we will see how that comes back in a few days so until then...I just take one day at a time!!!

Any advice concerning Mobic? Things to avoid while taking it?

I didn't get relief from Mobic but you should try it if your doctor prescribed it. What doesn't work for one may give someone else good result.

Hey aimsgirl16, sorry I can't help you as I've never used Mobic, but I just wanted to ask if you're still using Darvocet (from your sig)?

Just that, you may or may not know that it has been withdrawn in several countries because of a potential risk to the heart, and you may want to look into alternative opioids! (Just a friendly suggestion, ignore me if you've already been over this!)

haha, I'm glad to here it! it's strange how so often a drug's safety seems to be linked to it's geography! (Carisoma is banned in the UK now, but very popular in the states, and drinking alcohol with methotrexate is dangerous in the USA but not England.... and Cannabis is only safe when used in Holland!)
