Can hardly use my hands this morning and am in terrible pain. Has anyone had to stop their Humira or Enbrel injections because of another illness? If so, did they give you anything for the pain and swelling in the mean time. Another night like last night and I think it would be less painful to cut off my hands.

Can I ask why you have to stop the humira if you are on an antibiotic?

Have to stop the Humira while I show any symptoms of an infection. Taking the Humira lowers the immune system. Once symptoms are gone can resume the Humira.

how often do you take humira? if its 1x week or every 2 weeks then you should nt have had to stop as antibiotics are usually taken for 10 days

I take Humira weekly. all I know is the doctor said I shouldn't take the humira if I have any symptoms, and also the rheumy said not to take the injection while I'm on the prednisone. Makes sense to me that you want to take a shot that will lower your immune system while you're taking the antibiotic to fight off infection. Just following doctors orders.
