I have RA a nd am currently on MTX and recently Humira. RA is doing very well, but having some other problems (Iron Deficiency Anemia). Anemia occurs in a large percentage of RA patients, but not IDA. Got sent to a gastroentologist who said that 90% of the people my age who have this are bleeding internally. I have had a colonoscopy. EDN I think it's called anyway scope down the mouth to the stomach and top of small intestines, barium swallow, and the last thing was to be this test where you swallow that "little" HA! camera pill. Tried that this morning and it would just not go down. After the third try the nurse suggested that I not try anymore (I think she was afraid of me not being able to get it back up or down). She said that the doctor would reschedule me and put me out like for the EDN and put the pill down. Have any of you ever tried this camera pill thing. I went in unafraid, but when I saw that pill I definitely had my doubts of being able to swallow it, even though I tried very, very hard.
