I'm not really knowledgable in this medical area (Arthritis). Roughly in the last 7-8 months I began having pain in my hands, then I started all over. Mornings are "Definitely" the worse. Whatever position I have fallen asleep in my hands are frozen and stuck...hurts really bad trying to bend them and limber them up. When I first get up out of bed I hurt truly all over: hips, lower back, knees, feet.
My new Doctor had just my hands X-rayed and it showed like thinning of the bones. It worries me since it is not getting better and it hurting in the other areas. The Doctor said she could start me on like rheumatoid arthritis meds to see if it helps at all, but she just started me on cholesterol meds and doesn't want to start me on 2-new meds at the same time in case I have any reaction to one and we wouldn't know which one was causing it.
She is sending me to a rheumatologist, but I can't get into them until near the end of August. It really hurts and I wish she could give me something for it.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this and has any suggestions or can inform me what kind of meds are usually given for Arthritis and possible side-effects?
Thanx for letting me vent.
