Cervix precancerous cells - Humira??

Hello,

I just received cervix biopsy results from my gyno. Precancerous cells were found, I have next apointment on Saturday or I will try to schedule for tomorrow... I will have the proedure done to destroy the bad cells.

I just think... is it Humira?? My rheumy will get the copy of the results I guess.... I will make sure. Is there posibility he will take me off from Humira because of that?. Did anybody had the situation like that. I remember I've read the post were the lady because of the breast cancer could't take Humira..

 It makes wonders for me but from the beggining I was scared of the side effects.... I hate it that if something helps it will demage something else... I just have enough of doctors appointments... I didn't even finish terapies and here is another thing to be worry about...

I don't know what I will do if they tell me to stop Humira... and on the other hand I don't want something what can destroy me.. I hate my RA - I hate it hate it hate!!!

Ah Bstrong Life Sux don't it. you know i just read a book where it said if you feel crap then accept it look at it and say Yep its crap dont try to cover it.

your user name Bstrong shows you have Positive View -(unlike mine well i was on a downer the day i picked it)

they have a lot of info re true side effects i found it when i showed Leukimia and was looking for connections to humira

i think your Rhumy may stop it but you never know till you ask,

so im asuming all was clear Before you began Humira?

eeerr RA really should go to the Front of the line for Life changing illnesses it sure keeps hitting dosnt it.

Hi Bstrong

I have been on Humira 3 years and mtx 7. I had my first CIN 3 pap result in 2007 and had the area of my cervix cut out then (3 weeks before my bowel resection) I had pap smears every 6 months and they came back fine until this year and again needed more cervix cut out. I got an all clear result in Sept. so I wait again till March next year.

I believe it is my weakened immune system although no-one has confirmed this either way, Im at the stage that I take everything as it comes after all there is not much I can do about it and heaven knows I need these meds.

Try not to be too frightened about this even though with these meds we are darned if we do and darned if we dont.

Don't know the answer to that one but it would be good to ask your RD or maybe do some internet research. I think what I have read is alot of these precancerous cells are caused by certain strains of HPV. Did the doctor test you for that?

Dear All,

Thank you so much for your responses. I had really bead day when I wrote my post... when they told me about the biopsy results... Oh well life... My rhemy want me to stop the Humira for the procedure and then come back to injections. I am still waiting for his call back, I wanted to ask him if he thinks it can be Humira side effect, I want to know his opinion.

BadDay unfortunatelly I can't open the link you provided, but thank you for your support. I always ask my Rheumy question additionally I just posted here as I was waiting for him to get test result from my gyno and of course I wanted to hear your opinions as these are the best - from the real life..

SydneyJo - thanks for comments... yeah.. we kind of don't have a choice what the life will bring us... we need to take it as it is... Just why it is so not fair that some people don't get sick at all and some need to always fight with some deseases?? I know this question have no answer... but I am really jelous of people who don't have all these problems and can spend the money for fun which I am spending for my doctor's appointments.. Sorry I think it is just hit me once again untill my RA diagnosis. Like you said I will try to take as it is and take care of it as best as I can - that all I can do :)

wearyRAsufferer - thanks, yes I have the pap tests and we were hoping just for the HPV which can clear by itself but unfortunatelly it was something a litle bit more.


Chartreux - thank you for your support :) and prayers, I am calling the specialist on Monday and hopefully I can schedule the appointment for the surgery asap and get over with it :)

And believe me I try to keep my positive attitude and try to be as strong as I can with all these "news" and "always something"... Thank you all once again, I wish you all well! You are the best guys!!!

Yeah sometimes the hardest part is we have to continue to go on thru all these added
diagnosis...and so very sorry your having to go thru this, many Prayers and well wishes for you
and I hope things get better for you soon, support is here for you and we do care about you,

BadDay - I found some info on Humra lawsuit... we all know some side effects may happen or may not happen at all, but of course good to know what we can expect.. I will have my EMG test on Monday as I have noticed some litlle muscle spasms or twitch - it happens during the day few times, maybe around 10 times in my legs and sometimes my hands. I want to check this out too... And from really healthy person I am starting to be a wreck... hoping it is nothing serious but it last around the month already.

My cosultation with the specialist on Monday, hopefuly procedure soon as I didn't take injection as per doctor's instruction.... aaaaaa to many things going on   smhair ......................
