Hello to Everyone and a special mention/prayer to all those still struggling with pain and mobility.

Has anyone tried an RA drug called "Cimzia", although I don't believe that it is designed specifically as an RA therapy.

I've been on the drug now for four weeks and have yet to see any noticeable improvement respective to inflammation or comfort level.

I've taken to date, 2 needles comprised of 200 mg. (cimzia) @ 2 week intervals. or 400 mg. every 2 weeks.

Welcome Ship and thank you. :-)

I haven't been on Cimzia and I just looked it up.  It says that it has worked for pain and fatique for some People.  Otherwise it can take up to 6 months.  I guess you are not one of the earlier few weeks success story.  They are probably few and far between.  Hopefully though, it will work well for you...and soon.

I've not been on this medicine, but like msOuchie said some mediciens take a while
til you can start feeling them as they need to build up in your system....
hope that helps, just give this medicine a try and wait for it to help...

Hello msOuchie and all other RA sisters/brothers:

I noticed in your info notes that you're taking Tramadol...for pain management, I assume. I've been prescribed Tylenol #3...for pain. I presently take 6 to 7 per day compared to 2 to 3 just over 2 years ago. Obviously I've built up a tolerance to the codeine.

Is the Tramadol helping you?

Tramadol helps most of my joint pains. I do take mobic along with it.

Hi Skip(not Ship smilewinkgrin )!

Wow, that is a lot of Tylenol-3 a day.  I only take T#3 if I have a dental procedure on occasion and not near that many pills. 

The Tramadol just takes the edge off the pain for me.  It does not get rid of the rest of the joint pain.  I remember when I was younger I used to say that I wasn't going to be taking many drugs for RA...and yet, here I am.  I hate drugs!

I take tramadol and even though I still suffer that burning pain in and around my joints, I know it is much worse if I do not take it. I have tried the trial and error type thing at the beginning of this diagnosis because I too swore I was not going to take a bunch of pills. Now I take tramadol, plaquenil, prescription strength ibuprophen, prednisone, and a slew of other lesser ones.
