CRP during a flare?

I'm just wondering what's your usual CRP result?

My inflammation markers have never shown anything up until my last flare. They didn't take my ESR, but my CRP was 40 (under 5 is normal) during a severe sacroiliac flare. After 1 week of 20mg Prednisone it'd come down to 8.

I then developed a chest infection 2 weeks later, which I understand can cause a rise in CRP, but usually lower levels than people with inflammatory arthritis.

Basically, what are your usual CRP results?

I am not sure there is such a thing-it varies so much. When I first saw my current rhuemy my GP had me on 30 mgs per day of pred-I had been on it for 42 days, and my CRP was still 50. My Rhuemy was very unhappy with that.

When I am stable and controled its 4-10.

When I have an infection it can be really high-infections can actually cause higher numbers then inflamatory arthritis.
