This is my first post so I am sorry if I ramble.
History.... 33 year old female
I need to vent and I need advice.
I read so many posts on this website and it has provided me with a wealth of knowledge.
Two years ago I was diagnosed with mild Crohns disease (Whatever that means? lol) and have been treated with Pentasa. I dont think it helped
What has helped my Crohns the most is homeopathy.
11 years ago I was also diagnosed with degenerative discs in lower back. Over the years I have been treated with injections, nerve burning, and NSAIDS. Helped a little bit
I also have had mild knee pain from time to time. Nothing major
After 11 years I just live with this pain; I try to keep moving. The pain is now in my hips and I have two bulging discs which I try to keep under control with chiro and stretching and exercise.
Here is where I need some help...
This past July my body started attacking itself.
My chins and knees started to hurt which I thought was caused from too much high impact exercise.
Physical Therapy did not help. Pain has worsened and is in both knees now. Hurts to walk down the stairs and I can not sit without aching pain longer than 15 min. I have a hard time on my feet as well
Knee Dr. took x rays and said it looked like I was bone on bone, so he sent me for an MRI just in case his X Rays were wrong?
Had MRI which came back saying that I had mild increased joint fluid in the patellofemoral joint and mild joint effusion.
I seem to feel worse and with a new symptom everyday. I also have a history and this is getting worse; of feeling Fluish, achy and being lethargic; but up until now I have been able to push through these feelings.
I have pain in both ankles, top of my feet and elbows. My hips and back also hurt. My knees and ankles are mildly swollen, My knuckles are a little red. I have an app with the RA Dr next week but I looked into the labs she took and they are all negative for RA Factors. Two years ago my C Reactive Protein was a little elevated which is why the PCP sent me to the Gastro Dr for Crohns. Its not elevated currently.
The knee Dr looked at the MRI report and shrugged his shoulders. I guess he read his X Rays wrong? I'm not bone on bone after all? So confused. He gave me injections this afternoon and said for me to go back to PT. UGH! I really do not like PT! Now I am having a Cortisone flare and I have no pain meds. Ouch!
RA also runs in my family on both sides. Anyway, just looking for some similar stories. I am tired of feeling crazy! I don't want something to be wrong with me but I want to move on and get a clear diagnoses and treat it!
I am also so sick and tired of people telling me to go on a gluten free and vegan diet! Will that really cure all of my ailments?
Thank you for listening to me vent.
