Everyone Tip

Everyone here should get pictures taken of their eye's but the eye doctor as I just found out first hand, my RA has gotten to the macula of my eye's. So I go back to the eye doctor in June and will get more eye pictures done and the doctor will then call and talk to my RA doctor to see if it's the RA medication (MTX) or the RA and I will start on a supplement for my eye's (Macula supplement) today.
Get your eye's checked or it could be too late...this is so important, so make that appointment and ask about picture of the macula specifically, they are more indepth and can find problems before it can get to bad...

just wanted everyone here aware that RA can effect more than joints and when its your eyes it gets extremely scarey....everyone here should be getting indepth eye pictures from their eye doctors, as you don't want to be facing what I' m going thru right now...

Plaquernil and methotrexate can also cause vision problems, make sure to let your eye doctor know if your on either of these meds and if they know your on these medication they should do an indepth eye pictures.

If you take high risk medications (plaqunel) your MEDICAL insurance will pay for your indepth eye exam. Retinal photography, visual field test, and slit lamp exam. So even if you don't have vision insurance this should all be covered by medical.
My appointment is already scheduled for April.
