Sed Rate at 120

My doctor just called and told me my sed rate is 120.

Over the last 7-10 days I have been diagnosed with the flu, bronchituts and sinusitis. The blood test was done on 3/28/13.

Over the last few days in have been feeling better with my cough starting to go away. My sinus issue is still there but also getting better.

My doctor is concerned about the sed rate; he has never seen one so high and feels that I this caused by an extremely bad infection in my body.

Any idea what this may be, the cause, etc.

Hi The Sed Rate or ESR measures infammation so if you have a flu it would be high but the usual is 20 or less i know my usual hovers around 63 at good times and has gone loads higher with the RA in flares

 i'd think he would re test you once your Broncitis is under control Becaust remember these are all inflamation illnesses so it could just be crazy at the moment

but if it is still High once these are better Then you'd be looking at getting checked out as there are a lot of diffrent illnesses that raise the ESR.

So i guess try not to worry spend your effort in getting better right now
