Having a bad day without medicine

I have been told by physician that I have to come off of all medicine for RA due to I am having a colonoscopy and endoscopy.  I am in so much pain and almost thinking about cancelling the procedures so I can go back on my medicine.

Trying to hold off until the 30th. 

has anyone had to do this before?

I think it depends on the medications you are on. I was taking anti-inflammatory meds at the time and I did have to go off them for about 5 days (I think) before my colonoscopy several years ago.
