Have severe RA. First Methotrexate then to Leflunimide and additional Humira 1st shot week ago.
Pain now mostly right ankle and hand. right middle finger starting to get stiff.
Now have dental problem. Loose front upper front tooth. Pending extraction. Extraction has to
happen. An implant would take 3 months to a year to heal. Other options I believe are less
surgical. Cheapest is a flipper that might be the safest.

Also, My hands still get stiff with pain when sleeping.

Would be grateful for any discussion or suggestions

you may need to miss a humira injection the week before But Check with your Rheumatologist I had Good result with Leflunimide it took a few weeks to kick in tho but didn't have result from Humira
keep a close watch on your blood tests and keep in touch with your Rhumy

I take Cimzia and other drugs for UC and I've recently had oral surgery with no serious problems. I didn't miss any injections and my mouth healed up fine. Good luck.

I had a root canal done a few years back and I was taking Enbrel at the time and I had no problems. I did not miss any of my injections but I also do not suffer from what I read many others with RA speaking about; having very compromised immune systems. I don't generally get colds and other infections easily which I am very grateful for.

If you do I would speak with your Rheumy as well as the Dentist. I understand it is common for them to have people with compromised immune systems take a round of antibiotics prior to having major dental work done. I hope you are feeling better soon. Dental issues are no fun :(
