The sides of my hands pinky side down to right below the wrist bone is very tender- both sides. Very slight swell
Left side a little worse than right and it feels a little weak. Also if I make fist tender across knuckles.

Have also been feeling all over malaise like I'm fluish.

Amazing thing is I felt like this much of last week my had my quarterly RD visit and I felt no symptoms at all while there...

He wants to see me every 3 months but acts like I really don't have RA when I'm there.

Does this sound like your RA pain?

Hi,

Mt hands have hurt in every imaginable way and so yes it does. I have a set of braces for this exact reason and they help a lot. They can be unwieldy at times but it is worth using them especially for this pain. for me it is mainly in the wrist and knuckle areas, also at times an ice bag has helped but not as much in these recent years.

I hope that you feel better and that god gives you peace in your heart as you go through this. It is surely not fun.

Hey Don D old friend how are you doing?

Today I feel the same but add thumb joint discomfort and big toes feel sprained.

The worst part is feeling like a fraud because the RD won't acknowledge due to being seronegative.

He is however sending me for more blood due to a slightly elevated calcium level...

Hands are just a few of the things that hurt for me...But yes it can be RA...(Sero-negative and inflammatory RA are all grouped into and dx as RA)...
I see my RA Doctor usually every 2 to 4 months and well sometimes I see the PA...But I'm also a hard to treat case....
Hope your doing better soon...has there been a change in meds for you???

No meds- took me off in 2010 due to liver enzymes being elevated- pain levels didn't increase so kept me off....

Hi,

I have been doing pretty well but my toes hurt today also. My pharmacy didn't tell me that my orencia Rx needed to be re authorized until I had already ordered it and was calling back to see why it had not been delivered. I got the re auth but they messed up the order again and so it's been 2 weeks now without it.
Needless to say I have felt better that is for sure.

I remember feeling tha same way weary about feeling a fraud. Don't feel that way you are not a fraud just because modern medicine is at times still in the dark ages. It is not your fault!

I was just wondering after having some good weeks on my meds and finally feeling pretty good why all the sudden my meds get screwed up and here I am feeling achy and run down yet again. It is what it is..

For me this change in the seasons make me feel bad. To me fall has a cold damp feel to it and it seeps into my bones and joints. I also feel like it's time to hibernate- I feel more fatigue

Me too! I live in the PNW and go through it every year. fall has always been my favorite season but it sure is hard to enjoy it when all I want to do is hibernate :)

Actually I really want to move south or east a bit to catch more sun.

My RA doctor trys to show he cares, but its hard for me too, as my blood work always comes back normal, yet he sees the inflammation, you can see it as everything is swollen some days are worse with the swelling than others. I do have mris that show damage and inflammation, but it sure does feel like no one is on the same page for me and it is hard to cope, I wish that my blood work would show a high ana so that I could get the care I need....
So, I do know your frustrations and it hurts especially with a doctor that doesn't seem to care, I get that attitude with my pain management doctor as I don't want injections all the time...
I hope your next RA appointment goes better for you. If your next appointment doesn't go good then do try to seek out better care with another doctor, you deserve better care and better help!
I know how hard it hurts to wait for 3 months, but the days are getting shorter and this next appointment will be here soon...time will go fast for you...
